So, what's the link with the USA?
On 4th August 1961, in Honolulu, the future 44th President of the
United States was born.
That day's US issue of Time magazine carried a report of a demonstration, in Dallas, by black citizens attempting to speed up planned racial integration in the city's restaurants & diners.
The demonstration passed off peacefully and was very successful.
