The use of Saaz hops gives this lager a citrus taste that lingers on.

The Oakleaf Brewery is based in Gosport, Hampshire and there is a Gosport in Indiana, USA.
During the American War of Independence captured Americans were locked in Gosport's Forton Prison.
Gosport was a major embarkation point for Allied troops involved in the D-Day landings and the Royal Hospital Haslar received the most badly injured soldiers coming back.
